Mary Frances Archer appeared in the 1900 census as the head of household on 4 June 1900 at Wytheville, Wythe County, Virginia, USA. Also living in the house was, her daughter, Ella Rosa Goodwin and Sallie A Talman, her grandson, L. B. Goodwin and Frederick D Goodwin, a visitor, H L B Talman. She was listed as Mary Goodwin, born June 1817, age 82, widowed, born in Virginia. Her father was born in North Carolina and her mother, in Virginia. She had had 9 children, with 8 still living.3
